The young prostitute Anastasija tries to escape from deportation by the Chinese occupiers and join the resistance. When she collapses on the run, Vincent, a hermit, finds her and takes her to his log cabin. They fall in love, but he has a secret he must tell her in order to save her from her Chinese pursuers.
